Join Our Counselling Team!

Hana Legacy Foundation is a Toronto-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing accessible, culturally grounded, and spiritually sensitive mental health services. We offer individual, family, couples, group, and grief counselling virtually by supporting diverse communities across Canada. We are currently expanding our clinical team and welcoming Registered Psychotherapists and Registered Social Workers to join us as Independent Contractors.

About the Role

Clinicians at Hana Legacy work as independent contractors while being supported by an organized intake system, billing infrastructure, and a community-focused approach to mental well-being. You maintain full professional autonomy while receiving consistent client referrals and administrative coordination. This role is ideal for clinicians seeking flexibility, values and faith-aligned practice, and the opportunity to provide culturally responsive and spiritually informed mental health care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy as needed

• Deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and faith-sensitive counselling when requested

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the Jane App

• Collaborate with Hana Legacy’s intake and case coordination team

• Uphold all privacy, ethical, and professional regulatory standards

• Maintain a secure, confidential virtual clinical workspace

Compensation Structure

Consultants are paid monthly based on submitted invoices:

• $80/hour for designated Free Therapy clients

• 60% revenue share of paid client sessions (individual, group, couples, family, and low- cost programs)

• 50% of no-show fees

Qualifications

• Registered with the CRPO, OCSWSSW, or applicable regulatory body within your region

• Eligible for independent clinical practice

• Professional liability insurance

• Valid Vulnerable Sector Check

• Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care

• Important Notice: We are NOT interviewing/considering students or trainees at this point (i.e. qualifying therapists and we are only seeking licensed therapists at this time)

Work Structure

• Independent Contractor (not an employee position)

• Flexible scheduling

• 100% Remote/Virtual

• No guaranteed minimum hours

• Freedom to maintain a private practice outside Hana Legacy (non-exclusive)

• Clinicians provide their own secure workspace, equipment, and technology
